How'd I get so lucky?

In-flight Reading

Honolulu Airport

We've officially landed in Hawai'i!  We're in the Honolulu airport,  most of which is outdoors with covered walkways surrounded by tropical plants with garden areas every now and then. Holy. Guacamole.

Onward to Hawaii!

It's 530 and katie perry keeps singing about how she's wide awake. I don't wanna hear it,  Ms. Perry.

Caprese with grilled bread. This man can cook.

Shoe Repair Shop

99 Ranch Market

Crazy lobsters with claws LITERALLY as big as my head (the ones pictured are "small"),  exotic seafood, aisles literally just of soy sauce,  rice and noodles,  and live passion fruit trees... and then cafe du monde coffee!

Salted White Chocolate Oatmeal Cookies From Tender Greens

Oh my god.

A Day In San Diego

I love this place. We went for a run to Mixture and then ran along the water and through doentown. Brogan has officially warmed up to us and is talkin and smiling up a storm. We're about to eat in a restaurant in a little community built in what used to be Navy barracks

Mission Hills Bikes

I like this place.

Brogan!

This is Aubrey's cousin Brogan. He's shy.

Packing!

Holy. Mackerel. The day is almost here! Naturally, we haven't even attempted to pack until the day before we leave. I finished moving out of my house yesterday evening, leaving very little time to prepare for the trip. I'm also prettttty sure several bits of my life are still all over that old house.

We will be staying at the Lokahi Garden Sanctuary for two months of farming experience. The sanctuary is owned by a couple made up of a naturopathic doctor and a hula/qi gong teacher. To say I'm excited is a ridiculous understatement. They even have family/ connections to Nola!

Packing was an interesting experience.

Below you can see my one pile for two months of farming in Hawaii, possibly including a nice dinner here and there.

Then there are Aubrey's piles, which don't include the three piles already packed in the bag. One can't have too many lacy tops and dressed to farm in!

Then there's our bug/sun regiment. It's not nearly enough.

I'll attempt to post often with updates of our adventures!
